Allergen Concerns

Gluten-free Blueberry Cobbler, and Pumpkin Pie (seasonal). All other
desserts contain wheat.
Q : How about nuts?
Peanut Butter cookies are the only dessert made with peanuts. The following
products contain tree nuts and/or coconut: Butter Pecan Cookies, Triple
Chocolate Cookies (if you add Walnuts), Jamaican Rum Cake, Sweet Potato
Pie, and Pumpkin Pie (seasonal).
Q : What about soy?

Shipping
Q: Where do you ship?
Anywhere in the lower 48; we’ll get to you Alaska and Hawaii, we promise.
Q: When will my order ship?
We ship twice weekly. If you order by midnight on Wednesday, your order will ship by Friday. If ordered by midnight Friday, it will ship on Monday.
Q: Can preorder for Thanksgiving in July? In October for Valentine’s Day?
You betcha! And at Vivian’s Southern Treats we reward advance planning -
preorder more than 30 days in advance of your shipping date and we’ll credit
you back a 10% early-ordering discount.
Q : What are my shipping options?
We use UPS, USPS and Fedex for shipping. Their rates and options based on order
destination will be displayed during checkout. To avoid your dessert
languishing in a distribution center over the weekend, we recommend
selecting a shipping option that will ensure your dessert arrives on or before
Friday. If your order qualifies for free shipping, it will arrive on or before
Friday.
Remember that carriers do experience weather or other unforeseen delays so please plan accordingly for Thanksgiving and other holidays.

Q : How are desserts shipped?
All desserts are baked fresh but certain items may ship frozen to preserve
quality during transit. Items are packaged securely (and lovingly) in interior
containers then cushioned inside their shipping box. During summer months,
pies and items containing chocolate will ship in insulated packaging and may
also contain frozen gel packs which will thaw in transit.
Q : I’m in Atlanta, is there a local pick up option?
Yes! We have several Atlanta-area pick up locations including at our farmers markets (see our Event Calendar). Simply select “Pick up” as your delivery option at checkout for a list of those available.
Storage and Serving
Q: How do I store my desserts?
Keep them in their original VST packaging or rewrap tightly to minimize exposure
to air and moisture.
Cookies – Store at room temperature (under 70 degrees) for 7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Cakes – Store at room temperature for 5 days, in the fridge for up to 10 days, or in the freezer for up to 4 months.
Pies and Cobblers – Store in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 4 months.

Q: How do I pass these desserts off as my own, I mean serve them to guests?
Cookies can be enjoyed at room temperature but for that ‘fresh from the oven’
gooeyness, heat cookies on a baking sheet for 5-7 minutes in a 350 degree
oven. Allow them to rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes before moving
to a wire rack to cool.
Cobblers are shipped in an oven and freezer safe container to allow for easy storage and reheating. Simply remove the plastic cover and pop in the oven (350 degrees for 8-10 minutes) or microwave until the middle is warm and the smell of baking spices wafts through the air.
Pies can be enjoyed at room temperature, straight from the fridge, or warm. We recommend reheating in an oven (350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until the pie center is warm) and not in a microwave to preserve the flakiness of the crust.
Vanilla Pound Cakes can be enjoyed upon arrival; just unwrap and slice. If cake has been stored in the freezer, thaw at room temperature.
All other cakes arrive with icing and garnish for you to add (it’s not DIY, it’s “interactive”) and you can decorate with as much or as little as you like. Just unwrap the cake and remove the icing packet and garnish bag. Microwave the icing for 10-15 seconds. Stir and drizzle over your cake. Sprinkle the garnish and enjoy!

Other Musings
Q:Why is my Peanut Butter cookie shaped like football?
When we say we don’t make ‘cookie cutter’ cookies, we mean it! Our desserts
are all handcrafted and for cookies, that means shaped by hand so no perfect
circles here. Though the Perfect Circle Cookie Company©™ could have spin-
off potential …
Q: Your website says each cookie weighs a 1/4 pound but I received one thatweighs 3.12 ounces, now what?
Please, for the love of humanity, go outside and touch some grass.
Q : I have leftover cake glaze, suggestions?
Add it to you favorite non-VST pastry! Punch up lemon poppy or blueberry
muffins with lemon glaze or drizzle chocolate glaze over pancakes. Leftover
rum glaze … um, shooters?
